The final road trip of the regular season is underway for the Capitals tonight in Ottawa, in a battle with the Senators at Scotiabank Place. Washington begins the night with a four-point lead over second place Winnipeg in the Southeast Division race, with just five games left in the regular season. After a scoreless first period, Ottawa took a 1-0 lead on a Kyle Turris goal at 1:15 into the second. Mike Ribeiro would tip a Martin Erat shot for his 13th goal of the season to tie the game at 1-1 at the 11:14 mark, but Cory Conacher picked up his 11th soon after. Conacher scored off a Washington turnover into a vacated net for his 13th goal of the season. At the end of two, the Caps are down 2-1 in Ottawa.

Listen to the goal from Mike Ribeiro here. Third period coming up, as Washington looks to extend its eight-game winning streak. Ribeiro's goal extends his point streak to four straight games. An assist on the goal for Jack Hillen extends his personal point streak to three in a row.
