Game Over Green: Caps win 1-0 in OT in Game 2

May 4, 2013

Looking to take a two games to none lead in a best-of-seven Eastern Conference Quarterfinal series, the Capitals are hosting the New York Rangers this afternoon at Verizon Center. After a scoreless first period that saw the Caps fire 12 shots at New York goaltender Henrik Lundqvist, both teams battled through the second without a goal being scored. The third period was the same way.

Enter Mike Green. Game over eight minutes into sudden death overtime. Washington heads to New York up two games to none in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.
