For all the offense Alex Ovechkin has put up over the years, he did something this week he's never done before. Thursday night, Ovechkin scored against Carolina, giving him a goal in each of his first four games of the new season. Never before had he accomplished the feat, and it's only the third time in franchise history any player had done it in a Washington uniform.

Jason Chimera picked up his first goal of the season Thursday against Carolina. Alexander Urbom made his Washington debut, and Steve Oleksy got back into the lineup this week for the first time this season. It's all part of this edition of the CRN's plays of the week. Hear it below.
