The wait is over, as the Capitals kick off the 39th season in team history tonight in Chicago against the Stanley Cup champion Blackhawks at 8:00. Braden Holtby gets the start for Washington, with Corey Crawford getting the nod in net for the homestanding Hawks. The game will be nationally televised tonight via the NBC Sports Network. With the game not on CSN Washington tonight, the only local call of the game will be on 106.7 The Fan, 1500 AM and the Capitals Radio Network beginning at 7:45 p.m. Among our pregame interviews tonight: General Manager George McPhee and head coach Adam Oates.
