Adam Oates, on Tuesday's win over Boston, Steve Oleksy, and avoiding a letdown against Florida

March 7, 2013

After winning just two of its first 11 games this season, the Capitals can move within a game of the .500 mark tonight with a win over the Florida Panthers at Verizon Center. Braden Holtby will make his 11th straight start, in search of win number nine, and Troy Brouwer is expected back in the lineup after missing Tuesday's game due to illness. Jacob Markstrom is expected to start for the Panthers. From the looks of Washington's morning skate, rugged Aaron Volpatti is a likely healthy scratch for tonight's tilt with the Cats.

Click the link below to hear my conversation with head coach Adam Oates from this morning's skate. We discuss the win over Boston, Steve Oleksy's NHL debut, and avoiding a letdown tonight after Tuesday's dramatic win over the Bruins.
