The Capitals suffered a painful 3-2 loss Tuesday to Ottawa at Scotiabank Place, after leading the Senators 2-0 after the first period. Ottawa tied the game early in the third period, and picked up the game-winner late from former Caps defenseman Sergei Gonchar with just 2:30 left in regulation. The loss drops Washington to 1-4-1 on the season, seven points back of first place Tampa Bay in the Southeast Division.
